The International Symposium on signal, Image, Video and Communications will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of November at the National Center of Languages (Centre National des Langues) located at 16 bis, Avenue du Dinar, 1053 Berges du Lac 2, Tunis, Tunisie.
The easiest and most convenient way to reach the conference venue from the airport is to take a taxi (about 10 minutes out of rush hours).

You can lodge in the residenceÂ located in theÂ conference venue. Rooms are tastefully decorated, fully air-conditioned and have private bathrooms. Free private parking is also available at the center.

The Center of Languages is located in the new business district Lac 2 with benefits from all the urban facilities (pharmacy, supermarket, Bank, ATM…) and surrounded by a large number of milestones. You can enjoy the lively, animated neighbourhood of the Center in Lac 2 and Lac 1 at few kilometers, with its coffee shops, restaurants, entertainment parks and shops. Tunisia mall is few minutes’ walk if you are fun of shopping.
Downtown Tunis is about 10 Km from the conference venue. Tunis is divided into the old city, known as the Medina, and the new city. Avenue Habib Bourguiba is the large avenue running through the new city from the clocktower to the Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul (http://www.cathedraledetunis.com/horaires-cathedrale.html). The old city is nearby. You can go for a walk in the Medina. You will find tens of alleys, hundreds of shops stuffed with handicrafts, friendly salesmen, it all makes for a pleasannt sightseeing. You can also see Zaytoona Mosque (http://www.patrimoinedetunisie.com.tn/fr/monuments/ezzitouna.php) and other Islamic heritage, as well as the old buildings.
If you have an interest in history, the famous archeological site of Carthage sprung up 9Km from the Center (http://www.patrimoinedetunisie.com.tn/fr/musees/carthage.php). Â You can there explore the ruins of ancient Carthage, the archeological park and the national archaeological museum, which has a very interesting collection of material.
Located just north of Tunis and 10.3 Km from the conference venue, is the town of Sidi Bou Said. The entire town is located on top of a steep cliff, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The viewfrom Sidi Bou Said is absolutely phenomenal, and will continue to amaze you throughout your entire trip. About 5 Km farther, is sited the Tunisian popular seasidetown the Marsa.
